RALFIE:
He was lost and came to rest in front of a home to took him in.
This dog was obviously in distress. He was full of ticks, could barely walk, had a lump on his front right leg and something growing on his back, probably a tumor. Part of his tongue is missing, and so are some teeth.
In spite of all of the be above, this dog was the sweetest.
The ladies who were taking care of him, named him Ralfie and called us. When we went to see Ralfie, we knew it would be very difficult to find a home for this dog. We asked the ladies if we took Ralfie for a complete health check, neutering, etc, would they foster him.
They agreed to bring him back to their home if Ralfie was healthy.
Ralfie went through a bunch of tests. First, the leg was checked. It was an old injury to the bone, but it was fine. Second, his lump on his back. The growth was removed and sent for a biopsy, NEGATIVE, no cancer. Third, he was treated for heartworms and last, he was neutered.
Ralfie is healthy, has all the shots, microchipped. He is just an old dog needing a home.
He is now being fostered, but there is another male in the house and Ralfie is confined to a certain area of the home, and musical chair is being played with the two dogs.
