GUNNER:
This wonderful young Rottweiler was taken to the Humane Society of by a man. He had a terrible eye infection, eye covered with pus. The employee at the Humane Society told him they could not take him. The man turned his back and left the dog alone in their parking lot. Then, the Humane Society called their AC Control and gave them this dog.
As he got to AC, he was checked for microchip and had one, they called the owner and mailed them letters and never responded. Of course, that was the same man who took him to the Humane Society to begin with.
With that terrible infection, emails started flying and a wonderful Lady who had already adopted a female from GGARR went to meet and evaluate him at Yoly's request. In love with him, she offered to foster him and she took him home.
Took him to her Vet, he had a terrible entropion case and an ulcer on his retina. This wonderful family paid for that surgery and kept him with a cone until he was healed.
We have been keeping in close contact and finally they adopted Gunner on December 31, 2012
