BAILEY-
Senior girl looking for her last home

 BAILEY

Linda Buttstead, a Guardian Angel found this dog , an older female Rottie at Animal Services in Manatee County. I volunteer to take photos of the dogs they put up for adoption, I told them I don't want to know if anything is scheduled to be put to sleep. Then I saw "her" and I asked about her, and Cheryl said "you just told me you didn't want to know, BUT I'm telling you, she is scheduled to be put down.

All I can tell you is this Rottweiler is nice, calm, when in the run with all the dogs in their runs, barking bouncing around, she was calm, laid back. I opened her run, put the leash on her and she came out calmly, picked up speed heading for the door. I took her out to the play yard (it was just about full sun except for a bit of shade). Immediately she did her business so my guess is she is house trained. She walked around the yard sniffing, came when I called (I had liver for her :)). She walked around a bit more, lay down in the shade and wouldn't look at me directly (being a polite dog, not shy). She did make a bit of a groan when lying down, (she is kept in a run with cement floors) not when getting up, I didn't see any limping. She is overweight in my opinion, especially if she has osteo-arthritis. I think she had fleas as she had a thinner hair patch back by her tail. When I walked her back to her run I had to use a bit of liver to get her to go, she didn't want to go back inside the building but once up, she went where asked. She is not at all aggressive from what I saw. I petted her without any problems, she didn't seem hand shy.
