HELP LAZY:

Lazy's story:

Found in the Miami area and after putting signs up and not getting anyone who was looking for her, this wonderful woman contacted Grace Acosta, sent her pictures and Grace agreed on taking her and this Guardian Angel drove her to Mueller.

Sula has a very laid-back and submissive temperament. She has regained her strength and is in excellent health!

At Mueller Animal Hospital she was spayed, fully vaccinated and also microchip.

LAZY is looking for a Forever Home she desperately needs.

Come to meet her, she is so very sweet that sure you will take her home.

For information on LAZY, please, contact

Lazy (now Maya), so happy with her new family! - and an email from her family:

To start things off, there is no way we're bringing this dog back. :-)

  • She responds to her new name, now. No hesitation.
  • She's part of the family. We have locked-in our routines - feeding, where she sleeps, toys, walk times, where she is supposed to lay when we are at the dinner table...etc. Everything is going great. We love to watch her 'nub' tail move around as she seems to be completely comfortable within our house.
  • Play time is fun. She enjoys the tennis ball and stuffed toys we give her. Any stuffed toy only lasts two or three days before she tears them into pieces. This is not a problem for us, we love watching her do it.
  • The hip issues we thought she might have, seem to have been put to rest. The meds our Vet have given us our vet seem to be working. She easily walks up to 2 miles a day with me. No complaints or yaps anymore when we touch her back or hip and leg areas. Loves to play, no pain or signs of limitations.
  • Crate training was easy. She happily does it. We have established this is where she gets all of her treats. She is smart…when one of us is having a snack, she goes into her crate – possibly hoping to get a snack as well.
  • We have not left her for more than a stretch of two hours, as someone is always home during the summer.
  • She is terrified at the sound of thunder. As you know she is a big, strong girl and while trying to hide she's knocked over furniture here and there. She looks to hide in the tub, under and behind furniture. No big deal, but we calmly do not let this happen. If you happen to be walking her outside and there is the first sound of thunder, she gets in ‘pull the human home’ mode. She cannot overpower me, buy my wife (Nancy) and daughter (Jacqui) can’t hold her back. We are teaching her to go to her crate during thunder and making slow progress.
  • She is fascinated with the pool. Looks in the water for periods of time looking for something….She has not drank from it or tried to jump in, yet. Good. · Takes baths easily…stands like a statue.
  • We have not taken her on our boat yet. We would like to, but given the frequency of the thunderstorms this time of year, not be a good idea. Once we get her over the thunder we hope to expose her to some boating and fun we have on the islands along the intercostal waterway's.

Our family have often thought about the other Rottie’ faces at your house. We know you're taking good care of them, but we're happy we have given a good home to one of them - and hope her roommates find good homes as well.
