Dr. Zeus's story:
Zeus came to GGARR from Lake County Animal Services. His owners were unable to keep him and surrendered him to the shelter in Tavares.
Zeus is 13 months old, recently neutered, heartworm negative, fully vaccinated and micro-chipped!
He is good with other dogs, large dogs and small dogs alike, and is non-reactive to cats. He knows basic commands like sit and down, and appears to be crate trained. He takes treats VERY GENTLY from your hand and actually prefers eating from your hand instead of the bowl. He does not appear to be food or toy aggressive or nor does he exhibit signs of guarding.
His former owners report he is house broken, enjoys car rides (he gave his transport driver kisses all the way home) and loves the water. He is good with adolescent children but may not be the best choice for homes with very young children.
Zeus is currently in a foster home in St. Pete with a mature female Rottie.
