HELP DAKOTA:

Dakota's story:

Dakota is a 3 year old male, neutered rottweiler. Dakota was taken to a shelter by the owner's son who requested him to be euthanized. Well, our dear boy Dakota had an angel on his side that day and he was saved from euthanasia by GGARR. Dakota is now safe in a foster home looking for his forever home.

Dakota was assessed behaviorally and found to show no food or dog aggression. He would not do well in a home with cats or small dogs because he thinks they are a toy since they are the size of his toys. He will play with toys and let you take them from him. His favorite toy is a tennis ball and knows "drop it" and "sit" commands. He is working on not pulling on a leash but he is young and wants to explore everything as fast as he can! Dakota will take treats gently with a soft mouth with the "gentle" command. Dakota will do well in a home with children over the age of seven as they are taller then him and children smaller then him scare him. He sometimes still has accidents in the house or his kennel but he gets so excited that someone is going to give him attention and going to play with him he sometimes tinkles. He is working on trying not to tinkle and it just takes some time.

Dakota is neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. All he needs now is for someone who will give him a forever home and play with him everyday with an ample supply of tennis balls!
