Shadow is a young male, we estimate he is 3 years old. Unfortunately, and despite his sweet and lovely nature, he was found as a stray by a local Sheriff Department animal service division personnel. 

The staff contacted the owner registered on his microchip, and the person told them that she gave away Shadow to another person, and she wasn't interested in getting him back. A Rottweiler lover and advocate that works for that Sheriff Department contacted us and asked for help for Shadow.

We took Shadow in. He was severely underweight but we are taking care of that and he is receiving bigger meals to bring him to an appropriate weight.  He seems to be friendly with female dogs, can follow basic commands, needs leash training, very affectionate with humans, could be safe with cats but we always recommend to be careful and make proper introductions first.
