HELP SAMPSON

He was picked up as stray, and when Pasco County animal services contacted the person registered on his microchip, they found out that Sampson, who was adopted from Pasco Co Animal Services back in 2018, was probably given away and the new owners didn’t want him back.

Sampson was back the shelter, but now  in rough shape. Despite his age and his condition he is a very sweet, active, playful and goofy boy. We took care of his health needs, and hope he can find a forever home because he has so much love to give and receive.

He seems to be fine either with males, and female dogs of any sizes. We tested him with a cat and was curious but not aggressive by any means. He jumps with no effort into a large truck and takes the whole second row seat ( yes, he is 115 lbs of pure beauty) enjoys car rides, takes treats gently, loves to cuddle ( even when we are changing his t-shirt or pressing his suture on the side to drain fluids, because he took off the drainage the vet left for that purpose. At vet’s office before he had a surgery to remove multiple fat tags on his back, the technician needed to withdraw blood, and sweet Sampson offered her his paw. I really cannot understand why he was abandoned.
