We are going to be brutally honest what this young Rottweiler Boy needs. He still acts and looks like a puppy but his life wasn’t the greatest until now.
We, here at GGARR, are trying everything we can, to make it better and Marty is now in a foster home where he can thrive and get used to new things.
Here are the basics what would be ideal for this boy:
No small kids, only because he’s very strong and might knock them over
We don’t know how he is with cats, so I’m going with a “no” just to keep the kitty safe !
He probably is fine with another female dog but would need to be introduced gradually.
ONLY POSITIVE reinforcement. We currently have a trainer who is assisting us with his training.
Loud noises, shouting, or sudden movements startle him so he needs time to adjust and build confidence.
He requires A LOT of patience ! He’s fearful of new people, so taking it one step at a time (and treats, he loves boiled chicken) is the key.
We can answer all your questions you might have.
