Luna's story:
Luna is an owner surrender. Unfortunately her dad is being deployed and her mom had to move into a place that didn’t allow Rottweilers.
Luna will be two years old on May 10, 2015. She is current on all shots, microchipped and ready to find her new home.
She loves playing with toys. She loves to chew (so we usually get her bones and antlers to chew on). She loves to swim and play fetch in the pool.
She also has a rope toy that she likes to swing around. She likes to play, but she likes to cuddle too. She will sleep with you or sit on the couch with you if you let her (she is pretty good about staying off though if you tell her to).
She loves to watch dog movies or dog shows on Animal Planet. :-)
She enjoys going for walks, but she is a little slow. She had surgery to repair a torn ACL in October, so we try to keep that in mind when we walk her (or if we see her trying to jump on things). She was cleared by her surgeon though.
She also loves to carry things, so she will often find a stick in the yard to carry around. She is used to going in a crate when needed. She know basic commands: sit, down, stay, etc.
She can be shy and a little nervous, but she loves people and tends to warm up to them quickly. She loves it when it's cooler out, and likes to lay on tile floors to cool off. She is a very sweet girl and loves attention.
Luna is good with other non-aggressive dogs (she has even done well with small dogs). She has not been around any dog-friendly cats, so I can't say for sure whether she would be good with them or not. She has not been around many children, but the ones she has been around she has been fine with. I would recommend older children though because she doesn't always realize how big she is.
