Johnny's story:

JOHNNY - is Under Medical Treatment and Rehab.

Johnny was found stuffed in a laundry basket in a park in Miami!! He arrived at Miami Dade Animal Services and it was discovered he was unable to walk; he also tested positive for heart worms.

Rescue coordinator Isabel Jaraba immediately informed GGARR and a rescue HOLD was put on this dog. On July 18th he was picked up by rescue coordinator Luciana Pinto and moved to a boarding facility.

Rescue coordinator Laurie Kardon immediately made an appointment with RENOWNED VETERINARY NEUROLOGIST DR. JAMES COOK in Ft. Lauderdale to be evaluated. He was then transported from Miami by Luciana, and to CLINT MOORE VETERINARY HOSPITAL by Laurie for intensive care and treatment, based on the recommendations by Dr Cook.

After additional veterinary medical workup and evaluation, which revealed several signs of physical abuse, Johnny is receiving physical therapy, including time in a dog pool, and medical treatment.

And despite his condition and abuse, Johnny is still a joyful sweet boy that wants to live, and is loved by everyone who meets him! We are committed to give him every chance at being a happy boy and the ability to run and jump and play again.

Johnny will go through heart worm treatment and will be neutered.
